Ingredients of Simple Fried Rice:
- 1-2 cups cooked and cooled long grain rice for 1 serving
- 1 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying cooked rice and ingredients
- 1 medium onion, crushed with,
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoons dark soy sauce
- Pinch of salt and freshly ground pepper, finely chopped
Optional ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 shrimp cracker
- 1/2 – 1 tomato, cucumber or carrot, finely chopped
- 1 lb. cooked sliced skinless boneless chicken breast
- 1 lb. medium shrimp
- Water
Steps:
- Prepare the cooked rice
- Heat the vegetable oil in pan
- Put crushed onion and garlic and chili powder.
- Put the rice, add soy sauce, and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Combine and stir well, cooking for 5 to 6 minutes.
- If the mixture becomes too dry, add some water, or even a beaten egg.
- Remove from the heat and serve on a large plate.
- Garnish as desired, such as tomato, cucumber, carrot or cooked chicken
- Done!
